with the number handsets BLU Products is turning out, it is hard not to take notice of them. speaking of which, this Florida-based handset maker has another to offer: the BLU Vivo 4.8 HD Smartphone. measuring just 6.9mm thin, the new Vivo 4.8 HD is equipped with a Super AMOLED display, touting 1,280 by 720 pixels scratch-resistant touch display. digging further under the hood, you will find a quad-core 1.5GHz MediaTek Cortex-A7 chip with PowerVT SGX544 GPU, supported by 1GB of system RAM, seeing to the clockwork and graphics duty. on the imaging aspect, it has a 8MP BSI sensor, with autofocus and LED flash, naturally and a front-facing 5MP camera.

other core features include supports 42Mbps HSPA+ (no 4G though), 16GB of onboard storage (unfortunately, no expansion slot), a 2,000 mAh lithium-ion battery, FM radio, and the usual garden variety of connectivity that comprises of WiFi (supports up to wireless n), GPS, as well as Bluetooth 4.0. not surprisingly, the specs are not top-notch, but it could be the best you could snag for just $249, contract-free and unlocked, and it comes in some seriously eye-catching colors too. our money is on the electric neon yellow and glimmer pink. this handset is definitely going to appeal to the younger smartphone users, or at least those young-at-heart. a few more look after the break.
