However, with the BLU’s latest device, BLU Life One X3, battery is perhaps a less pressing issue because, 5,000 mAh. Yup. You heard that right. That’s not a typo. This thing here really packs a monster 5,000 mAh battery, something which don’t see everyday. And no, this isn’t a 6-inch plus handset; it is a 5.5-inch class smartphone. BLU Unveils Affordable Super Battery Handsets with 30 Days Standby

So you think the battery woes of smartphone has behind us? Well, not quite. They have been shrouded… by the myriad of portable batteries. However, not all hope is lost. There are still handsets that pack large capacities and surprisingly, even some that’s very affordable. The BLU Studio Energy 2 and BLU Energy X Smartphones are two examples. The Studio Energy 2 packs 5,000 mAh battery, the largest of any smartphone today, while the Energy X gets a 4,000 mAh. BLU Products Announced Two Flagships Powered By Octa-Core Processors

super phone is the seldom heard words in the world of smartphone, but that won’t stop BLU Products from claiming its new flagships, the LIFE 8 and VIvo IV, as super phones. and to top that off, it also stake the claim as the first mobile devices to be available in Americas with “true octa-core mobile processing.” both devices are powered by MediaTek’s MT6592 SoC featuring an advanced eight-core processor and Mali 450-MP4 GPU, promising “industry-leading multimedia capabilities and excellent power efficiency.” kicking off the duo is the Vivo IV, now into its fourth iterations, sporting a 5-inch Super AMOLED Full HD display with protection offered by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. it has 2GB RAM and 16GB onboard memory, but no mention of expansion slot, so we are assuming it is a no, which means you will have live with the meagre 16GB. BLU LIFE PURE XL Touts 16MP 1/2.3″ Sensor And 8MP AF Camera

it looks like BLU Products is pretty adamant about holding up its reputation as the ‘fastest growing mobile phone maker’ and it has announced yet another beautiful handset just days after the announcement of the firm’s first LTE phone. a follow up to its flagship LIFE PURE, the BLU LIFE PURE XL has set its sight on being one of the most powerful smartphones available today. bold words indeed, but if the specs are anything to go by, it is indeed something to behold. apart from a speedy processor, a 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core chip with Adreno 330 GPU, the LIFE PURE XL has a lot to shout about its imaging capability – both front and rear. kicking off the imaging department is a 16MP 1/2.3-inch sensor touting 1.34µ pixels, which BLU says is the first smartphone camera to strike a perfect balance between resolution and pixel size. the rear camera is equipped with Largan M8 optics and is capable of 1080p video recording at 30 fps. the new BLU STUDIO 5.0 LTE Smartphone (yes. yet another handset) may not be a top spec device, but you can’t really argue with the asking price of just $249, especially when it is unlocked and contract-free, plus LTE to boot. the STUDIO 5.0 LTE is the first LTE phone from the budget handset maker and though budget, it is no slouch in the spec department. fronting the device is a 5.0-inch qHD IPS display and at its heart, is a 1.4GHz Qualcomm 8926 Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor with Adreno 305 GPU and 1GB of system RAM. before we touch on what it has to offer (i.e. more specs), it is worthy to note its network coverage, which includes GSM/GPRS/EDGE running on 850/900/1800/1900 MHz, 4G HSPA+ 42Mbps covering 850/1700/1900/2100 bands, and 4G LTE fills the gap of 1700 and 2600. when it comes to cheap and beautiful phones, BLU Products is among the few brands that pops up in our head and the latest to join the Florida-based handset maker’s growing smartphone portfolio is this BLU STUDIO 6.0 HD. equipped with a 6-inch HD display with advanced OGS and Full Lamination technologies to boot, the STUDIO 6.0 is the biggest BLU handset yet. powering this mega-size device is a MediaTEk MT6582 Cortex-A7 quad core processor, clocking in at 1.3GHz. system RAM is a modest 1GB, while there is a basic 4GB internal storage – expandable via microSD slot that supports up to 32GB. other details are fairly standard, which includes 3G radios with HSPA+ support, dual SIM card support, a 8.0-megapixel rear-facing shooter (with AF and LED flash, naturally) supporting Full HD video recording, a 2MP front-facing camera, a non-removable lithium polymer battery rated at 3,000 mAh, plus the usual bunch of connectivity and sensors (and it has FM radio too, in case you are still not into Spotify or Pandora). BLU Products has been turning out so many handsets lately that it is no wonder they described themselves as the “fastest growing mobile phone manufacturers in the world.” speaking of which, the Miami-based firm has more to offer and this time round, it has a little sibling for the LIFE Pure, known simply as, you guessed it, BLU LIFE Pure mini Smartphone. billed as a powerful yet compact version of its flagship device, the LIFE Pure mini is aesthetically identical to the larger LIFE Pure (except for the round edges at back) and features a single piece polycarbornate construction, each individually handcrafted. the device touts a thin 8.9mm thickness, but has a massive 3,000 mAh battery that’s good for over 35 hours of usage per charge. with the number handsets BLU Products is turning out, it is hard not to take notice of them. speaking of which, this Florida-based handset maker has another to offer: the BLU Vivo 4.8 HD Smartphone. measuring just 6.9mm thin, the new Vivo 4.8 HD is equipped with a Super AMOLED display, touting 1,280 by 720 pixels scratch-resistant touch display. digging further under the hood, you will find a quad-core 1.5GHz MediaTek Cortex-A7 chip with PowerVT SGX544 GPU, supported by 1GB of system RAM, seeing to the clockwork and graphics duty. on the imaging aspect, it has a 8MP BSI sensor, with autofocus and LED flash, naturally and a front-facing 5MP camera. you are probably not impressed with BLU Products’ ‘affordable’ handsets with matching specs, but before you turn your head and leave, you might want to check out the BLU LIFE Pure Smartphone – a handset described by BLU Products as having “flagship performance.” but before we touch on ‘performance’, we have to confess that it is the look that had us at hello. the LIFE Pure bears the prettiest design we have seen coming from BLU to date (just look at the bezel!) – thanks to its seamless and minimalist design. crafted from a single piece polycarbonate using the latest CNC technology and individually handcrafted to arrive to what you see here: a sleek handset in an iPhone-isque form, albeit in plastic, that we can’t help but to take a second and third look. BLU Advance 4.0 and STUDIO 5.0 II Smartphone

BLU Products, the purveyor of contract-free, super affordable Android smartphone is at it again. it has announced not one, but two smartphones in North America today. the two devices, the BLU STUDIO 5.0 II and the Advance 4.0 are designed to support multiple bands, ensuring it will work with all GSM and 4G HSPA+ networks. the $89 Advance 4.0 is an unlock handset featuring a 4.0″ WVGA touch display and one that is powered by a modest 1.3GHz dual-core processor from MediaTek, backed by 512MB of system RAM. its 4.0″ display though offering just 800 x 480 pixels, it still packs a good 233 ppi and bolstered by Mali 400 GPU, which should yield some pretty images. other details include 3G radios with HSPA+ support, 4GB internal flash storage, expandable up to 32GB via microSD, a 1600 mAh lithium-ion battery, built-in FM radio, a 5MP LED flash-equipped main camera, a VGA front-facing item, HD 720p video recording at 30 fps, plus the usual servings of connectivity and sensors.
