CaDA Toyota GT-ONE and Toyota Prado Building Sets
CaDA expands its licensed Toyota lineup with a sleek 1:24 GT-ONE Le Mans racer and a detailed 1:14 remote-control Land Cruiser PRADO SUV built from 586 pieces.

Petrolheads would love it if every car they admire had a LEGO version. But LEGO can only work with so many automakers, and only so many models. Thankfully, there are companies like CaDA that are here to fill the gap—and if my reviews of DOUBLEE’s plastic brick building toy brand are anything to go by, they not only fill the gap, but do so very brilliantly.

Speaking of which, CaDA is offering up a couple of new small brick-built Toyota cars, too. Folks, meet the CaDA 1:24 Toyota GT-ONE C55040W and the CaDA 1:14 Toyota PRADO C51209W—both officially licensed by Toyota, of course. Keep going for quick details of each set.

Everything on the real car has been meticulously replicated using plastic bricks, including the side skirt air inlet, a detailed cockpit (well, “detailed” as far as 1:24 possibly can), the iconic large racetrack rear wing, and the Le Mans race car’s low-slung design. The 1:24 scale happens to let the designers leverage curved elements to recreate the sleek aero lines—well, minus the rounded edges, obviously.

The model also features a one-piece transparent cockpit window. It is a mostly SNOT (studs not on top) build, and as before, where there are graphics, logos, and text, they are all printed. Rounding out the building set is a collaboration commemorative plaque. When completed, the 272-piece model measures 16.8 cm long, 7.2 cm wide, and 4 cm tall (~6.61 in × 2.83 in × 1.57 in.).

Wrangler and Defender are perhaps the go-to models for toy makers, but thanks to CaDA, devotees of the PRADO (a.k.a. Land Cruiser PRADO) get to put together a PRADO, too. The C51209W uses 586 pieces to let you recreate the modern icon as a Technic-style model, complete with remote-control functionality. It is a 1:14 model, which means it is pretty detailed. Based on the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser (J250), the model is presented in the ride’s signature Gulf Blue colorway, with the SUV’s details clearly represented, including the headlights, the front grille, the rooftop luggage rack, and a very cool, detailed interior.

However, I think the standout feature of this buildable RC model is the assembly-free unibody chassis, which includes integrated studs, a steering trim lever, a battery compartment, and a working rear suspension system. When completed, you can take it for a spin using the included remote control or via an app installed on your phone. The finished model measures a pretty sizeable 32.8 cm long, 15.4 cm wide, and 14.2 cm tall (~12.91 in × 6.06 in × 5.59 in.).
