Do you like snakes? And do you also like G-Shock watches? If your answer are yeses for both, then you gotta to love the new Casio G-Shock MTGB1000WLP1 Wrist Watch.
The Casio G-Shock MTGB1000WLP1 Wrist Watch is Casio G-Shock’s latest collaborative timepiece with Wildlife Promising, an authorized non-profit organization dedicated to African wildlife preservation.
This limited-edition MT-G series model is inspired by the African Rock Python and features a laser etched band, case and bezel covered in a brown, black, and gold python pattern, mimicking the skin of the Africa’s largest python. It is gorgeous. And why are we reminded of Jake the Snake?
The snake skin pattern is not the only telltale sign of its snake’s influence; the second hand on the dial sports a bright red color as a nod to the snake’s tongue and the indicator hand at the 9 o’clock position emulates the triangular pattern found on the python’s head.
And then there is, of course, the Wildlife Promising’s mantra and logo, which can be found on the case back and watch band.
Beyond the scaly, majestic reptile treatment, the Casio G-Shock MTGB1000WLP1 Wrist Watch is the MTG you know.
This means Bluetooth connectivity, time synchronization via G-Shock Connect app, Multi-Band 6 radio-controlled timekeeping, Tough Solar power, scratch resistant sapphire crystal, dual dial display, Triple G Resist (shock, vibration and centrifugal force resistance), water resistance to 200 meters (660 feet), Super LED, 24-hour stopwatch, daily alarm, countdown timer, full auto calendar, and world time that covers 39 time zones and 27 cities + UTC.
The Casio G-Shock MTGB1000WLP1 Wrist Watch will sell for US$1,300 when it becomes available in December at select G-Shock retailers, the G-Shock Soho Store, and gshock.com.
