Chuwi has once again disrupt the PC market. This time, with yet another super sleek laptop outfitted with a 2K display called Chuwi GemiBook. Come to think of it, this shouldn’t come as news at all. Chuwi has make “disrupting” the PC market kind of regular affair.
Anyways… the GemiBook is the next to offer 2K display after CoreBook Pro. Like the CoreBook Pro, the processor isn’t its strongest suit. But what the hell. We are talking a beautiful, modern laptop that cost US$299 during its special sale period (September 15-16, 2020). Under 300 bucks. Imagine that!
It is powered by an Intel Celeron J4115 chip, a quad-core SoC announced late last year, clocking in at 1.8 GHz or 2.5 GHz on Turbo. The chip is paired to Intel UHD Graphics 600, 12 GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256 GB SSD.
It further features dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, a 38 Wh battery good for 3-7 hours of use, 4K hard-decoding, supports NVMe protocol 2280 SSD expansion, a USB 3.0 port with Type-A interface, a full-featured USB-C port, a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a TF card slot. The spec sheet obviously is not the best, but it is actually not too shabby.
All these features are complete by a gorgeous “premium” lightweight and thin metal chassis.
Chuwi GemiBook 130inch 2K Display Laptop is listed for US$499.98-US$519.98 on Chuwi store on AliExpress. However, it will sell at the aforementioned US$299.99 on September 15, 0000 Hours – September 16, 2359 Hours, Pacific Time. Moreover, the store will be taking US$10 off on orders over US$299, which should push the price down further to US$289.99. So, don’t say we did not let you on this.
