regardless of what you look at, be it a sleek sports car, a majestic boat or anything in between, you realized they have one thing in common: design. as such, it not surprising that British luxury marque Jaguar took a dip into speedboat design to showcase its design prowess. of course, being sensible auto maker, Jaguar plunge into the water on its own. it worked with Ivan Erdevicki Naval Architecture & Yacht Design Inc and bespoke design project management company, Seventy Seven Design to come with this beautiful example to complements its lifestyle vehicle such as the Jaguar XF Sportbrake. the Concept Speedboat by Jaguar features a forward that flows seamlessly into the windshield, a red three-passenger cabin that strengthens its sporting character, a gel coat fiberglass hull, a natural teak deck, a carbon fiber fin inspired by the iconic Jaguar D-Type, a fuel filler caps inspired by the Series 1 XJ, a polished aluminum propeller and a pop-up mooring post. now, if you are already digging into your drawers for your check book, we have a bad news: the Concept Speedboat by Jaguar is design project commissioned to support the launch of the XF Sportbrake and the auto maker has no intention of commercializing it. we know. it sucks to be teased and not being able to savor the fruit. so for now, it is just a small gallery to, well, rub salt into the fresh wound.
