dbrand Ghost Case Anti-yellowing Clear Case

I saw dbrand Ghost Case a couple of weeks ago, at a time around the announcement of the new iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro series smartphones. I didn’t give it much thought but the description caught my eye: it promised not to turn yellow. This is when I looked at my iPhone 14 Pro encased in a transparent Skinrama case. Indeed the yellowing has begun. It was so gradual that we never took notice but it does yellow, alright. It is even obvious when it was removed from the phone.

The new dbrand Ghost Case, which is available for the new iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro, Pixel 7 Pro, and S22/S23 Ultra, is not your run-of-the-mill transparent case. dbrand claims that the Ghost Case has succeeded whereas others have failed as far as anti-yellowing goes.

In fact, dbrand is so confident that it will replace your Ghost Case for free if it ever turns yellow. No hidden conditions or fine print. It is just “an incredible offer” that dbrand confidently proclaims that we will “never get to take advantage of.” That is indeed a bold claim.

So bold that I had to pre-order one, just to see for myself if it lives up to the hype that the Canadian company has played it up.

I am also looking forward to the promised 1.2 mm (0.05″) thin design. But the 1.2 mm is not all around. This case has a band in black around it that enhances the grip and protects the phone’s most vulnerable points of impact. Speaking of impact, the case claims 10 feet (3 meters) of drop protection – if the grippy grip even lets you slip it out of your hand.

Other features include an array of 18 custom-built, ultra-powerful magnets, imperceptibly light (28g/0.99 oz.), and extra clicky buttons.

If you are sold like I do, you may pre-order the Ghost Case now for US$49.95 a pop.
