DJI is synonymous with imaging drones and gimbal tech. Now, the world-renowned drone maker wants the ground covered too. But no, it does not have a humanoid or robot dog to sell you. Instead, the “ground” it covers is your home’s floor. The drone has launched a robot vacuum brand, ROMO. It was launched in August in China with the initial lineup comprising three models: ROMO S, ROMO A [CH], and ROMO P [CH].

Yes, you read that right. DJI is officially in the robot vacuum business. Think of it as the company that gave us eye-in-the-sky precision now aiming that same brainpower at dust, hair, and the occasional chip crumb.
The ROMO series brings over the same environmental awareness tech from its drones; we’re talking millimeter-level obstacle avoidance, 3D mapping, and route optimization that’ll make most Roombas look like they’re cleaning blindfolded. The ROMO can identify, dodge, and clean around even tiny 2 mm cables, all while deciding the most efficient way to scrub your home spotless.
Each model comes with its own flair, but the star of the show is the ROMO P, which proudly sports a transparent shell. Yes, it’s the Nothing Phone of robot vacuums—only this time, it’s judging your housekeeping habits instead of your texts. The transparency gives off a sci-fi, jellyfish-like vibe that’s somehow both eerie and elegant.

DJI also equipped the ROMO lineup with 25,000 Pa suction power, flexible dual mechanical arms that reach into corners for 100% edge cleaning, and an auto-maintenance dock that washes, dries, and sanitizes the mop pads. It even features self-cleaning and UV sterilization — you don’t just get a clean floor; you get a guilt-free conscience.
Control it with the DJI Home app, command it by voice, or just watch it glide around like a quiet, judgmental roommate.
Prices in China start at 4,699 yuan [CH] for the ROMO S, 5,399 yuan [CH] for the ROMO A, and 6,799 yuan [CH] for the ROMO P. The lineup rolls into Europe on October 28, 2025.
Man, who would’ve thought we’d get DJI robot vacuums before a DJI DSLR?
