This is DJI Terra. It is NOT a drone. It is an enterprise solution, a software, that will expands your DJI drone’s capabilities. DJI Terra is an Artificial Intelligence-powered system that is developed to help you digitize the world around you using the Phantom 4 Series drones. Armed with sophisticated mapping technology, Terra captures, analyzes and visualizes your environment, allowing you to recreate scenarios in high detailed 2D and 3D models.

Its applications include construction planning, accident reconstruction and more. It boasts three mission planning options, namely, Waypoint Mission Planning, Area Mission Planning and Oblique Mission Planning (basically the Area Mission but with Y-axis variation), to aid you in designing flight paths that would let you recreate 2D and 3D models of a scenario. In addition to 2D and 3D reconstruction of scenarios, it also does real-time mapping.

And then there is the all-important data analysis with Terra acquiring key dimensions across an array of terrains, enabling you to obtain a variety of measure data based on linear, area and volumetric measurements. As part of the data analysis, you can add annotation, like editing the labels of measurements on existing models for reporting and scrutinize every photo of the model to pick out and highlight critical elements.
DJI Terra Mapping System is compatible with Windows PCs (sorry, Mac users!) and plays well with Phantom 4 RTK, Phantom 4 Pro V2.0, Phantom 4 Pro+ V2.0, Phantom 4 Pro, as well as Phantom 4 Advanced and Phantom 4. DJI Terra Mapping System is available today via authorized DJI Enterprise resellers worldwide. We do not know the pricing, but we noted that, like most software, it is offered as license plans, namely, Advanced and Pro. If you are keen, you will have to touch base with DJI to inquire about the pricing of either.
