Here’s another quirky stuff coming from the Italian luxury fashion label Dolce & Gabbana. It is called Stereo Bag which I initially thought it was a bag that looks like a portable stereo, but as it turns out, it is a handbag that is also a functioning speaker. How that works really boggles my mind. This handbag is made from wood, hand-painted with details of a real stereo. Thanks to the 3D painting technique, the bag looks exceedingly like an actual stereo straight from the 80s until you see it up close or touch it. It features a AUX cable, a 3.5 mm jack with molded cable assembly, inside the bag that would allow you to connect it to your device like a smartphone to play music.
Other features include zipper fastening with padlock in galvanized metal with studs and chain, top handle plus adjustable and detachable strap in Ayers, leather-lined interior adorned with branded galvanized metal plate, outer knob for turning it on and adjusting the volume, and finally wrapping up with metal feet studs on the based. No details are offered on the speaker, but I guess it needs not to, as it being a speaker probably isn’t the highlight of this rather quirky creation. The highlight here is the fact that it is a handbag that is surprisingly, also a functioning speaker.
I am not sure if I am seeing it right here, but as per the website it cost mere $12. It had three zeros following the decimal point, so we are not sure if it is a typo. If it is, you are probably in luck because you read it here. Also, we have no idea the difference between this Stereo Bag and the Radio Bag introduced last year. If you know the difference, do drop as a note.
