Rugged smartphone maker DOOGEE has added a new rugged smartphone to its portfolio. As always, the new DOOGEE S96 GT, as it is called, is not just rugged but it also boasts features that will be useful for field workers and everyday users alike.
In this instant, the new DOOGEE S96 GT rugged smartphone boasts a Sony 20 MP Enhanced Night Vision camera featuring 4 infrared night vision lights, now with a range of 15 meters (about 50 feet).
Under the hood, MediaTek Helio G95 runs the clockwork, backed by 8 GB RAM and 256 GB base storage, and a card slot that supports up to 512 GB.
It comes equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and an additional button that can program to quickly launch an app, or assign an action such as a camera shutter, screenshot, and whatnot.
In the rugged department, it is IP68 and IP69K rated for water and dust resistance, it is outfitted with Corning Gorilla Glass, and it is MIL-STD 810H certified, which affords the device 1.8-meter (5.9′) drop resistance and waterproof to 1.5 meters (4.9′) up to 30 minutes each time.
Furthermore, it has a wide range of operating time, ranging from a low -55°C to 70°C (-67-158 Fahrenheit).
Imaging is another department the updated S96 is particularly proud of. Over the front tear drop 6.22” HD+ LCD display is a 32 MP selfie camera with autofocus, and f2.0 aperture paired with a 90° wide-angle lens.
Over at the rear is a Samsung 48 MP AI quad-camera comprising of a 48 MP f1.8 AI main, an 8 MP f2.2 130° wide-angle camera, a 2 MP f2./8 90° wide-angle portrait camera, and the aforementioned 20 MP f1.8 Sony Night Vision Camera. It has 4 rear flashes.
A few other notables include 4K UHD videoing and playback, Android 12 OS, positioning (GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, Galileo), and a 6,320 mAh battery that supports 24 W fast charging and 15 W wireless charging.
The new DOOGEE S96 GT Rugged Smartphone is available in Classic Black, Volcano Orange, and Sunshine Gold.
The latter is a limited edition available from AliExpress and Doogeemall at a special discounted starting price of US$199 (U.P. US$249.99) when the sale goes live on October 15, 2022.
