Here’s a quick one for folks who adore graffiti culture. Dr. Martens has partnered with Futura Laboratories, the streetwear brand by the pioneer of abstract graffiti Futura aka Leonard Hilton McGurr, for two innovative twists on Doc Mart’s iconic 1460 boot.
The first pair is 1460 Embroidered Futura Boots in Black Nappa Leather and features white embroidered artwork, black welt stitching, and dual-branded sock liner. The embroidered artwork immortalizes the defiance of graffiti, based on Futura’s hand style.
The second pair is the 1460 Olive Strap Futura Boots featuring a beautiful olive ETR 5050 woven fabric upper, an olive smooth leather ankle strap with subtle Futura Laboratories branding, and dual flat-printed and round olive laces.
Both Futura Laboratories cobranded 1460 boots are available now from Dr. Martens’ website for £189/US$230 a pair.
