Multicopter Drone With 1000W LED Light

Unless you have a high-end night vision camera, imaging drone is pretty much useless at night but not in the case of Stratus Productions. The outfit posted on its YouTube channel, RCTestFlight, a video of an Freefly Alta multicopter equipped with a super bright 1,000W LED light bar which, as you can imagine, pretty much lights up the night. It is incredibly bright – thanks some modifications, including switching out the stock LEDs for Yuji high CRI LED chips that offers “extremely accurate color and are brighter than then previous LED chips,” said RCTestFlight.

The aircraft’s landing was modified to accommodate the LED light bar and a servo was added to enable remote switching of the LED light bar. Powering the insanely bright LED light bar is a 6S 8Ah lithium polymer battery which secured above a pair of 6S 10Ah lithium polymer used to power the aircraft. Unfortunately, the battery combination only afford roughly ten minutes of flight which is shame cos’ the result of these brightened night shoot were breathtakingly amazing. Really. We are not even exaggerating. Don’t believe? Well, then see it for yourself in the embedded video below. For the impatience who couldn’t care less about the details, you may want to skip to 2:05 for the main course. Watch it and tell me that you are not impressed.
