GAC Honda GT and Dongfeng Honda GT

You won’t be able to buy this pair, but I thought—if they’re cool, they deserve a shoutout. What you see here is the second set of 烨 (Ye) Series models, the GAC Honda GT and Dongfeng Honda GT, which made their flashy debut at Auto Shanghai 2025 (April 25 to May 2, 2025). If you’re unfamiliar with the Ye Series, it’s Honda’s electric playground exclusive to China, where design is bold, cabins are high-tech, and your passenger basically gets an IMAX seat.

Both GTs rock a low and wide stance, as if they’re ready to race before anyone even turns the key. The GAC Honda GT goes for a “seamless and sophisticated” future vibe—basically, the kind of EV a Bond villain would drive if he worked in tech. Meanwhile, the Dongfeng Honda GT leans into its emotional side with more curves and flair, and possibly a playlist filled with moody synthwave.

Inside, the driver gets a cockpit that looks ripped from a concept racer, while the front passenger is treated to a far-focused display that makes Netflix in the car feel like a home theater. Forget the shotgun—passengers will be fighting over that screen on every trip.

Under the hood (figuratively, because EVs), Honda isn’t just flexing cool looks. They’ve teamed up with Momenta to bring in AI-powered driver assistance—no HD maps needed, just set your destination and the car figures the rest out. They’re also tapping into DeepSeek AI to make the cabin smarter and cozier, and collaborating with CATL to bring new battery layouts and LFP chemistry into future Ye Series rides.

So no, you can’t buy these futuristic GTs outside of China. But it’s fun to dream. Besides, who needs a HUD when your car can already deep-think, stream, and possibly write its own fanfiction? We do not know the pricing, and we probably don’t need to because we can only drool from afar, or in this instance, on the screen.
