When German inventor Jörg Sprave first demonstrated the SixNeedler, it looked like one of those wonderfully ridiculous creations that belonged on YouTube rather than a store shelf. Fast forward a little, and the “what if?” has become something you can actually buy.

The SixNeedler is unlike almost every other CO₂-powered airgun on the market. Instead of firing pellets or BBs, it launches proprietary steel darts from a six-shot revolving cylinder. If that sounds unusual, that’s because it is.
Developed under Sprave’s GoGun brand, the SixNeedler was designed for small-game hunting, pest control, and outdoor use where permitted by law. It runs on standard 12 g CO₂ cartridges and can also fire .357-calibre pellets, giving owners the flexibility to choose between steel darts and conventional airgun ammunition.
The design is unmistakably modern, complete with a Picatinny rail for optics and accessories. Inside, however, beats the heart of something refreshingly different. Rather than trying to outdo another pellet pistol, the SixNeedler occupies a niche all its own.
Its arrival has certainly sparked debate. Some enthusiasts see it as an innovative evolution of the traditional dart gun, while regulators in certain countries have taken a far less enthusiastic view. Whatever side of the fence you sit on, one thing is hard to argue with: nobody else is making anything quite like it.
The SixNeedler proves that Jörg Sprave hasn’t lost his talent for turning unconventional ideas into real products. Whether you see it as an unusual hunting tool, a capable pest-control airgun, or simply one of the most original CO₂ launchers in recent years, it is anything but ordinary.
The SixNeedler Needle Gun is available from GoGun for US$159.
