Grail Watch is a watch retailer that sells limited edition timepieces that celebrates independent watchmakers. For its fourth release, Grail Watch once again brought Alain Silberstein on board to work with Carlos Rosillo and Bruno Belamich of Bell & Ross. The result is a trilogy of timepieces based on the French watch company’s iconic BR 03, called Bell & Ross X Alain Silberstein Black Ceramic Trilogy.
The Bell & Ross X Alain Silberstein Black Ceramic Trilogy mixes up Alain Silberstein’s colorful designs with Bell & Ross utilitarian stylings, applied to three BR 03 models: BR 03 time-only model with date, the BR 03 diving watch, and the BR 03 chronograph. The designs for the timepieces were decided fairly quickly but it would take the watchmakers more than a year to materialize:
…it took us more than a year and a half to bring them to fruition, thanks to the several technical puzzles we had to solve… Says Silberstein, “With the chronograph, Carlos explained that the seconds hand was by far the largest one ever fitted to one of their watches, and we had to ensure the reset function worked perfectly each and every time so it would align exactly at zero. With the diving watch, we had to make sure these huge oversized hands were as light as possible, so they wouldn’t affect the overall precision of the movement. And then to make a two-color ceramic bezel was a major challenge.”
As the names imply, each watch is based on the BR 03 case, which is a 42 by 42 mm case, and in black ceramic cases and paired with black rubber straps. Among the eye-popping Alain Silberstein’s colors, you may have not noticed that these timepieces have a very interesting minimal element. And that is the Bell & Ross logo which is now just an ampersand. Now, that is a super cool touch. Keep going for a quick rundown of the key features of each timepiece.

The Bell & Ross X Alain Silberstein Black Ceramic Trilogy will go on sale on January 09, 2023, at 9 AM EST, exclusively on Grailwatch.com. The Bell & Ross X Alain Silberstein BR 03-02 KLUB 22 will sell for US$4,400 while the Bell & Ross X Alain Silberstein BR 03-92 MARINE 22 and Bell & Ross X Alain Silberstein BR 03-94 KRONO 22 have a list price of US$5,600 and US$6,700, respectively. There is also a box set of all three timepieces going for a grand US$16,700 which will come in a special presentation box like so:
