We saw the 2018 Honda Super Cub. TBH, we are hardly impressed, but this one here, a custom by K-Speed, is a whole new ball game. It made us wish the 2018 Honda Super Cub launched recently in Thailand did actually looked like this. I mean, seriously, Honda should be looking to K-Speed to design their Cubs. Period. I am sure the cafe racer style will appeal to many bike enthusiasts. Anyways, this stunning Super Cub (dubbed Super Power Cub) you see here was the result when Honda roped in Thailand-based K-Speed to create a custom version to mark the launch of the new model. Now, come on, tell me that you guys aren’t even a bit impressed.
The concept behind this custom ride was “modern retro,” which meant keeping or sprucing up the retro bits while lending it with modern touches such as LED turn signals, for example. Retro elements, arguably the things that make this bike pops, including wing-shaped handlebars, ‘sawtooth’ tires, and a classic matte black and white paint job.
Other highlights include custom switches, custom nacelle, a bicycle bell (donated by the shop bicycle), re-routed wiring, 17×2.50 wheels shod with Vee Rubber tires, custom metal fork covers, modified frame with handmade fender, bolt-on aluminum swing arm, adjustable rear shocks, new aftermarket tail light, aftermarket exhaust and ribbed side panels, ‘hand grenade’ valve caps, CNC machined foot pegs, blacked-out engine, and a re-shaped and re-upholstered seat with contrast stitching.
Unfortunately, the K-Speed Honda Super Power Cub Custom Motorcycle isn’t for sale. Even if it was, it would be only-for-Thailand market. But if you are crazy enough and have the financial muscle to flex, you could perhaps reach out to K-Speed and see if they will want to custom one for you.
