Die-cast car collectors who are huge fans of American Muscle cars will not want to miss the Hot Wheels Collectors RLC Exclusive ’66 Super Nova. Joining the prestigious Red Line Club is the ’66 Chevy Super Nova (again) which was designed by Larry Wood and introduced in 2012.
This latest version of the Chevrolet muscle car with a blown engine and drag-racing stance has been treated to a Spectraflame Race Team blue accented by a vibrant rainbow spectrum on the sides that invoked the Southern California Pro Street atmosphere of the 70s and 80s.
The ZAMAC-type body is paired with a base featuring a full-metal, chrome-plated chassis and engine. It further boasts painted detail on the engine, Goodyear tampo on the rear tires, and Real Riders Drag Strip Demon race dish drag wheels, before finishing off with light smoke-tinted windows and a light blue interior.
The ’66 Super Nova is no stranger to RLC, btw. It has appeared as HWC.com Series 11, as an RLC Reward, and as an RLC sELECTIONs.
The Hot Wheels Collectors RLC Exclusive ’66 Super Nova (HNL16) is set to go on sale on Creations.mattel.com on February 21, 2023, at 9 AM PT, for US$25. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled on this one if you really want it because I suspect this is going to fly off the shelves pretty quickly.
