Huami Amazfit is set to rock the smartwatch industry with a curved-screen smartwatch called Huami Amazfit X Smartwatch. Mind you, the Amazfit X is concept no more. It is a gadget you can buy.
TBH, Amazfit X looks more like a fitness tracker than a smartwatch, but I guess it is the functionality that defines what it is.
The most striking part of the design is, obviously, its 2.07-inch AMOLED curved-screen design that packs 326ppi “HD resolution”.
The display has a 92-degree super-arc curvature which Huami said is made possible by “700 degrees Celsius” heating and “a 6-bending process.”
It can do what most smartwatches do including push notifications, track fitness data, and heart rate (via a thing called “BioTracker PPG Heart Rate Sensor). You know. The usual stuff. Not out-of-the-ordinary, really.
Out-of-the-box, you will get over 20 customizable watch faces to choose from. Huami Amazfit X will a 220 mAh battery good for up to 7 days of use per charge and it is swim-friendly with water resistance up to 5 ATM (50 meters or 164 feet).
Beyond those, not a lot is known about this little fellow. Huami Amazfit X Smartwatch is set to launch on Indiegogo. However, perks have not been divulged. If you want to be among the first to learn about early bird deal, be sure to get yourself signed up to be notified via email.
