IKEA Anti-nuclear Bomb Shelter Products

Here’s something dark but strangely intriguing. Riding on the recent Wes Anderson trend, filmmaker/director Filip Filkovic Philatz (@philatz) used Midjourney, a generative artificial intelligence program, and service, to create a series of IKEA Anti-nuclear Bomb Shelter Products that oozes Wes Anderson’s vibe. So yeah, it is dark, alright, which we told you so in the beginning.

However, if you never knew the context, you’d think that these images were straight out of IKEA‘s yearly catalog. And when you know the context and not know what it is for, you’d almost believe that the Swedish flat-pack furniture giant is on to something sinister like, you know, preparing us for a nuclear fallout.

The entire thing has the Fallout vibe with a hint of retro-futurism to it, IMHO. It is not good if there is a nuclear fallout but the creation is awesome nonetheless. After Midjourney has created Filip’s added the text to make it look more like pages from the IKEA catalog.

You can admire the entire creation posted on Reddit.
