After chasing winds, i.e., having an active cooling fan on a phone, I think the next big thing may be stuffing cooling liquid inside to help keep the phone nice and chill. Redmagic has done it with the 11 Pro, and now it looks like Infinix is giving it a go too with its new Infinix GT 50 Pro.

Where many “gaming phones” do not look the part, Infinix took a page from Redmagic’s design book and decided its gaming phone should, too, look like it is ready to game.
The new Infinix GT 50 Pro is the brand’s gaming-focused flagship that features a so-called HydroFlow Liquid Cooling Architecture. Unlike the usual vapor chamber cooling systems found in smartphones (which it also rocks, btw), the GT 50 Pro uses an active liquid-cooling setup with a micro-pump, liquid coolant circulation, and transparent sections on the back that let you literally see the coolant flowing.
In addition to the star cooling feature, the GT 50 Pro also boasts a massive 7,700 mm2 vapor chamber. This VC features a custom 3D VC design that bulges to directly contact core heat sources. This allows improve heat transfer efficiency and therefore more effective cooling.
Infinix claims it is the industry’s first system to fully cover core heat sources with liquid cooling. I think Redmagic may have something to say about this… All told, this phone touts an astounding 32,700 mm2 of total cooling area.
Anyhoo, the GT 50 Pro also introduces pressure-sensitive GT Trigger buttons, designed to bring console-style controls to mobile gaming. The triggers support light presses, heavy presses, sliding gestures, customizable mappings, and even non-gaming shortcuts like screenshots, recordings, app launches, and AI assistant access.
Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate chipset built on a 4 nm process. Infinix claims an AnTuTu score exceeding 2.2 million, paired with support for native 144 FPS gameplay in several major esports titles, including Call of Duty: Mobile, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, and Free Fire.

The phone features a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with up to a 144 Hz refresh rate, 4,500 nits peak brightness, Gorilla Glass 7i protection, 100% DCI-P3 color coverage, and TÜV Rheinland low blue light certification.
Battery life is backed by a 6,500 mAh battery with 45 W wired charging and 30 W wireless charging. The GT 50 Pro also supports wireless bypass charging when paired with the optional GT Magcharge Cooler 2.0 accessory, allowing power to feed the chipset directly while reducing heat buildup during long gaming sessions.
And then there’s the imaging, which rocks a dual-camera setup featuring a 50 MP main camera with OIS and EIS, and an 8 MP ultra-wide camera. Meanwhile, the front is outfitted with a 13 MP camera. This is no vanilla camera setup. Imaging touts AI-assisted photography features, including AI RAW processing, AI Studio tools, and Live Photo support.
Other notables include Dolby Atmos audio, RGB lighting effects with 14 lighting scenarios, a dedicated N1 network management chip for stronger signal performance, integration with Infinix’s expanding GT gaming ecosystem, including GTBUDS 5 gaming earbuds and cooling accessories, and up to three Android OS updates and five years of security patches.
The Infinix GT 50 Pro is available with 12 GB RAM plus up to 12 GB of toggleable RAM expansion, and a choice of 256 GB or 512 GB storage, and in three colors: Black Abyss, Red Blaze, and Silver Glacier.
Price and availability vary between markets and sales channels. You may check out the Infinix Official website for Infinix stores in your region to enquire about the availability. Meanwhile, you can learn more about the GT 50 Pro here.
