You know how mail trucks in Stateside looks like, but have ever imagine if those 200,000 plus vehicles were something else other than the slow, aerodynamic-defying boxy vehicles? Can you imagine say, for example, a Hummer or maybe even a Nikola One Semi or a Tesla Model X was used as a USPS delivery vehicle? Well, I guess you don’t need so much as to imagine at all cos’ a South West London-based financial institution has already did in a recent blog post.
In the post, it reimagined vehicles like the iconic army workhorse, the AM General Military Hummer, into a parcel-shooting, post-apocalyptic mail delivery vehicle (that’s if mail system is still there) and a Jeep Wrangler that will boldly go where no vehicle will go to deliver your all-important snail mail. Speaking of snail mail, it won’t be a snail mail if it is delivered by a pumping 6.3L V12 Ferrari GTC4Lusso, would it? And in the case of eco-conscious city, perhaps a Tesla Model X with its ample cargo space could do the job without leaving crazy carbon footprints.
However, what if Tesla Model X’s voluminous cargo space still not enough? Well, folks, for that, the futuristic, hydrogen-powered Nikola One Semi will have you covered but the Nikola does not look like it will cover door-to-door delivery, does it? The suburban roads definitely isn’t made for semis and so, when it comes to door-to-door delivery and also covering the last mile, Mercedes-Benz Vision Van equipped with a pair of delivery drones could surely be of a great assistance.
I know. Apart from Nikola One Semi, it is very unlikely to see USPS using those vehicles due real-world practicality and cost considerations, but hey, it doesn’t hurt to imagine, isn’t it? Scroll down to have a look at the rest of the awesome vehicles slapped with USPS liveries.
