even as the popularity of mobile phones continue to grow, landline (or fixed line) phone still has a place in our heart. for that touch of nostalgia, we have the go-between that transform our 21st century mobile communication devices like the iPhone into a landline phone. granted, this notion is not new but the Invoxia NVX 610 featured here, however, is something of another league. with the NVX 610, you have the usual features like handset complete with coiled cord, iPhone dock, Bluetooth connectivity, and a not so usual built-in speakers and microphone. the NVX 610 is armed with eight digital MEMS microphones, eight speakers, and HD sound technology for a crystal clear and misunderstanding-free conference calls.
apart from the obvious wireless connectivity, the device also offers a host of other connectivities such as a pair of USB ports, two Ethernet ports – of which, one offers the convenience of powering the device via PoE technology (where available), and DECT technology for optional cordless handsets. all these goodies are packed within a stylish and contemporary design constructed from glass and stainless steel. the Invoxia NVX 610 iPhone Telephone is available now with a retail price of $499. pretty steep for a handsfree device – if for personal use but should be justifiable for businesses that uses VOIP (and iOS devices) heavily. a few more look at the NVX 610 in the gallery after the break.
