if you find today’s offering of speakers are way too inflexible in terms of positioning, then you should really check out the Anakonda KAN200 Flexible Speakers from Italian audio specialist K-Array. it may not look we have posted the wrong image, but this snaky 6.6 feet (2 meters) long cable-like thing is actually a speaker that play host to eight numbers of 1″ neodymium cone drivers, along with 0.75″ voice coils. all told, this flexible audio reproduction contraption give up 300W of power with, you guessed it, the flexibility to be wrapped or coiled around virtually anywhere. simply put, the KAN200 will go where no regular box speakers can go. with it, you can now have speakers that actually conforms to the environment and not the other way round and it can be tied in knots if you really have to. another highlight would be its ability to daisy-chain up to 32 modules via the integrated NL4 connectors, creating over 200 feet of audio reproduction system with virtually no limit to where it could be installed and with an IP55 rating, you could even make it work for the outdoor environment too, minus the worry about threats from dust and water.

included with each cable are two fabric socks – one black and one white – for further protecting the system, as well as wall brackets to facilitate, well, wall mounting. the best part about this product is, they are made in Italy under the strict quality control by K-Array themselves. however, we would not even imagine that the K-Array Anakonda KAN200 Flexible Speakers would be a replacement for your booming audio needs, but if for some reasons you need that extra bits of flexibility like going around curved walls, this $899.95 speaker might just be it. btw, this thing is tiny as pictured; it has a cross-section of 2.2″ x 1.4″ (56mm x 35.3mm, hence the name Anakonda) and tips the scale at 3.09 lbs (1.4 kilograms). more look available in the image gallery below.
