Ever wanted to give your TV audio a boost and, for some reason, do it in full rock-and-roll swagger? Well then, strap in, volume up, and meet the Marshall Heston 120 Soundbar. Yes, that Marshall. The one that turned guitar amps into stage icons, made Bluetooth speakers look like leather-wrapped thunder cannons, and now—finally—makes soundbars.

The Heston 120 is Marshall’s first foray into the TV sound world, and it didn’t just dip a toe in—it cannonballed. Packed with 11 precision drivers, Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and some serious bass mojo, this thing doesn’t just amplify your Netflix binge—it headlines it. The sound is so spatial, it’s like the explosions are personally insulting your ears from multiple angles.
It’s got all the right connections: HDMI eARC, Wi-Fi streaming, Bluetooth with Auracast, and even old-school RCA for your vinyl setup. The aesthetic is perhaps what tickles the fancy of many. It is a thru and thru classic Marshall: Knurled knobs, faux leather, brushed metal, and enough tactile joy to make any audiophile tear up a little. TBH, it is pretty surreal to see a Marshall “amp” this longish.
Other highlights include manual EQ controls, an app with room calibration, and different sound modes like Movie, Music, and Voice—so you can go from car chases to NPR without blowing a speaker. Oh, and it’s repairable too, which means your investment won’t be landfill-bound the first time your cat launches it off the shelf.
Now, before you shout “Shut up and take my money!”—pre-orders for the US$999.99 soundbar have already sold out. Yes, already. So for now, you’ll just have to admire it from afar and hope you’re quicker on the trigger come June 3rd—that’s if it even has any stock then. Anyways, just keep your fingers crossed.
