Lao Feng Xiang x Saint Seiya Collection

In Saint Seiya (or Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac, as it’s known in North America), the Gold Saints wear “Gold Cloths” that—spoiler alert—aren’t actually made of gold. But here in the real world? They are. And no, we’re not talking about gold-chrome-plated action figures. We’re talking actual gold Saint Seiya collectibles.

Lao Feng Xiang x Saint Seiya Collection

Thanks to a collaboration between China’s 170-year-old jeweler Lao Feng Xiang (老凤祥) and Saint Seiya, the Knights of the Zodiac fandom has officially gone high-end. The Lao Feng Xiang x Saint Seiya Collection includes 24K Gold Cards, charm/pendants, a Cloth Box-shaped “lucky bead” (which is basically a fancy cube), and Aries and Virgo figurines—all in pure 24K gold. The crown jewels? Statues of Virgo Shaka and Aries Mu were made entirely of the stuff.

Here’s a rundown of the collection:

24K Gold Cards Collection

Features the 12 iconic Gold Saints, plus their boss, Athena. Limited to 3,000 sets, it’s also available in a special edition with a gorgeous display frame. At 2,688 yuan (~US$370) per set, this is the most affordable item in the collection.

24K Gold Charm/Pendant

Each tiny cube contains 2.5g of 24K gold. Wear it on your wrist if you’re feeling extra. It measures 0.98 cm wide and 1.06 cm tall, and goes for 3,999 yuan (~US$550).

24K Gold Aries and Virgo Figurines

Each figurine packs 88g of gold, limited to 188 units each. They’re priced at 118,888 yuan (~US$16,350). Aries stands 13.1 cm tall, while Virgo is 12.7 cm.

24K Gold Virgo Shaka and Aries Mu Statues

The pièce de résistance. Each statue contains 666g of 24K gold (yes, really). Only 30 units of each were made, priced at a staggering 888,888 yuan (~US$122,245). Virgo Shaka stands 28.7 cm tall; Aries Mu, 27.1 cm.

In short, if you’ve ever dreamed of flexing your fandom and your bank account at the same time, this is your golden opportunity—literally. Just be careful not to drop one; that’s the kind of heartbreak even Athena can’t fix.
