What you see here is the LEGO 71044 Disney Train and Station. I should say it is a must-have for super fans of Disney and Disneyland. The LEGO 71044 Disney Train and Station is a LEGO replica of the famous steam-powered locomotive and railroads found choo-chooing around Disney theme parks around the world. It comes with four buildable cars, the engine, the tender, passenger car, as well as a parlor car.
It is minifigure scale, so the included five minifigures could go on a ride. Speaking of minifigures, they are why this set is so collectible as they includes the de facto icons of Disney, namely, Mickey, Minnie, Chip, Dale and the first time ever, Goofy. Unfortunately, Pluto ain’t part of the team. It will nice if Pluto was included.
Another highlight is the LEGO Powered Up elements hidden in the tender car, and classic LEGO magnetic couplers that are employed to connect the carriages and also to move the train. The set can be controlled by app, allowing you to use your smart devices to drive the train forward, reverse and produce realistic train sound effects.
In addition to the incredibly detailed interior, the set is further complimented by a buildable Disney Parks-inspired train station with models of miniature locomotives, picture frames with details inspired by the actual stations, and then there are more details, from draped windows to ceiling chandelier to the tower room “with a little LEGO surprise.” The following is a rundown of the details:
