You heard it is coming, now it has been officially listed on LEGO. We are talking about the made-for-adult-fans-of-LEGO Simba from Disney’s animated feature The Lion King (1994, Buena Vista Pictures Distribution). Celebrating the 30th anniversary of the animated feature film, the set uses 1,445 LEGO elements to recreate young Simba in his classic pose.
I am not a huge fan but man, the completed build looks like Simba has stepped out of the film. It may be a set for a grown person but the LEGO Disney Young Simba the Lion King (43247) is not just a display piece; it does boast a movable head to allow for different poses. OK. That is not a lot of posability but enough to express the protagonist’s innocent and curious mind.
It will make a perfect companion to the Simba the Lion King Cub but really, like the LEGO Stitch set, this set is good on its own. When completed the set measures 29 cm (11.5 inches) tall. It will have quite a presence.
