For months we have heard that a super tall LEGO Eiffel Tower is coming but nothing has prepared me for the sheer height, LEGO speaks, that is, of the just revealed LEGO Eiffel Tower (10307) set. But first, the pieces… At 10,001 pieces, it topples the LEGO Titanic to become the second-biggest LEGO set ever after the LEGO Art World Map.
And the LEGO Eiffel Tower (10307) indeed is the biggest by height too, coming in at a mind-blowing 149 cm, or 4.8 feet tall when completed. This is definitely no child’s play and it isn’t. This set is aimed squarely at adult fans of LEGO. Even the price said so. But more on that in a minute.
With 10,001 pieces, it means this set is not only ginormous but it has an incredible level of detail previously not possible with smaller sets. Details like the intricate truss-work, arches, support, cross bracing, and railings all work to faithfully recreates the geometric design of the tower.
It has all three observation platforms, elevators, an office at the top, and a broadcast tower as well as the Tricolore flag at its peak. And below all that (LEGO) engineering marvel, there is an esplanade featuring Parisian lampposts, benches, trees, and scrubs complete the setup.
The set is designed to be separated into four sections, making it manageable to build, move, and play with. And oh, this set also demands quite some floor area as it has a footprint of 57 cm by 57 cm (22.5 inches by 22.3 inches).
The LEGO Eiffel Tower (10307) is set to hit the market starting November 25, 2022, for an exorbitant US$629.99.
