LEGO Hill Climb Adventures Mobile Game

If you haven’t already heard. LEGO and Fingersoft have released a side-scrolling driving adventure game called LEGO Hill Cilmb Adventures based on Fingersolf’s hit side-scrolling hill-climb racing game on mobile called, well, Hill Climb Racing.

LEGO Hill Climb Adventures Mobile Game

LEGO Hill Cilmb Adventures is a fun game. I have been playing it since it was released (May 30) but this being a mobile game, it has a major pitfall for the impatient.

The game is free to download and play but it also has a bunch of in-game purchases which the impatient may be compelled to buy to progress further and/or pick secrets and blueprints not accessible using standard issue vehicles. But more on that in a bit.

Anyhoo… like the LEGO Horizon Adventures and LEGO Fornite, the game is a LEGOlized and dare we say a better version of the original Hill Climb Racing series in terms of graphics.

It is a side-scroller racing game but the graphics are very 3D. However, the control of the vehicles can be rather finicky, which beckons you to dump all your hard-earned in-game coins into it to upgrade the vehicle.

The LEGO Hill Climb Adventures mobile game is a single-player exploration game (thank goodness for anti-social beings like me!). It involves taking a vehicle across hilly terrains, achieving goals, and exploring the fictional world of Hill Climb Racing’s Climb Canyon.

It is a free game which if you are happy to keep repeating the same old course to farm for coins, red bricks, and what not to soup up your ride(s), then the game is all good but be warned, some collectibles require vehicles that are capable of flight and you will not get that for free. At least not that I know of.

I got a pair of wings for the default vehicle, but it ain’t going to help me catch the collectibles up in the air. That said, the playability mechanics are clever—provided you have the patience.

If you don’t this game is going to end up making you tens or even hundreds of dollars poorer which makes zero sense to casual gamers who clearly are the group that a game like this attracts.

If anyone’s interested, LEGO Hill Climb Adventures is available for iOS and Android.
