Gear up for the much-anticipated sequel of James Cameron’s Avatar, Avatar: The Way of Water, with this LEGO Avatar set: LEGO Toruk Makto & Tree of Souls (75574). The set was revealed at the recent LEGO CON, following the movie’s teaser trailer released last month.
Packing 1212 pieces, the LEGO Toruk Makto & Tree of Souls (75574) features a buildable Tree of Souls, along with 3 environment builds with glow-in-the-dark elements. Part of the “environment builds” appears to be the Hallelujah Mountain aka the floating mountain, complete with transparent elements to make it look like it is suspended in midair. Very cool.
Completing the set are two animal figures, namely, a posable Toruk figure with foil wings and a Direhorse figure, plus minifigures of Jake Sully, Neytiri, Mo’at, and Tsu’Tey Na’vi.
The Toruk towers at an impressive 9.5 inches (24 cm) tall and measures 15 inches (39 cm) wide – tall and wider than the Tree of Souls which measures over 8.5 inches (22 cm) tall and 9 inches (23 cm) wide.
The set comes with 3 instruction booklets cos’ the set is designed for social building. So, with 3 building instruction booklets, friends and families can co-build the different parts of the set.
