Leica M6 Analog Rangefinder System Camera

The Leica M6, which was manufactured from 1984 to 2002, was an icon in the world of photography. Well, for analog photography that is. If you have a thing for this iconic film camera, well, good news because there is a reissue! Technically, the new Leica M6 is a reboot.

The 2022 Leica M6 Analog Rangefinder System Camera benefits from a bunch of upgrades, including an anti-glare 0.72x magnification viewfinder with coated glass surfaces, a new light meter indicator with battery warning, and an updated ISO dial with modern electronic components.

It also gets a boost in the materials used too, with a milled solid brass top plate with abrasion-resistant black lacquer and black leatherette with “MADE IN GERMANY” embossing.

While modernized and with new materials, the iconic red Leitz logo found on the original 1984 model is still present and so are key traits like the slanted rewind crank for the film.

Also, like the 175,000 units that were produced between 1984 and 2002, the 2022 Leica M6 is also handmade.
