Leica Q2 “Dawn” by Seal Digital Camera

Grammy Award-winning, 90s pop sensation British singer/songwriter Seal has partnered with German camera maker Leica for the Leica Q2 “Dawn” by Seal. As the name suggests, the Leica Q2 “Dawn” by Seal is designed by Seal and based on the Leica Q2 camera.

The Leica Q2 “Dawn” by Seal is a standout snapper – thanks to the exquisite, Japanese woven fabric covering. The covering is inspired by the Japanese term “komorebi” which describes the transparency and interplay of light that occurs when sunlight falls through the tree canopy.

The fabric covering is produced by the Japanese brand Hosoo through an innovative process that uses black thread and gold-colored Japanese paper. In addition to the iridescent fabric, the camera features a black Leica logo and it is engraved with the edition number and Seal’s signature.

Accompanying the camera is a limited edition scarf designed by multimedia artist Annina Roescheisen, who interprets Seal’s lyrics through gold elements on a black background. The scarf was developed by the New York fashion label rag & bone and produced in Italy.

Also supplied with the camera is a rope strap, adorned with the handwritten lyric “you became the light on the dark side of me” taken from the song Kiss from a Rose.
