LG gram Pro 16Z90TR and 17Z90TR Laptops

If you’ve ever wanted to wield the power of AI without carrying around a laptop that doubles as a gym weight, LG has good news. The new LG gram Pro 16Z90TR and 17Z90TR are here, and they’ve apparently been training with both ChatGPT and Marie Kondo—because they’re smart and they’ve shed the bulk.

Both models run on Intel Core Ultra 9 or Ultra 7 Series 2 processors with NVIDIA RTX 5050 graphics, so yes, they can handle your creative workflows, your 100-tab browser sessions, and the occasional poorly-timed gaming break during meetings. You get 32GB of RAM, a roomy 2TB SSD, and up to 27 hours of video playback (read: just enough for one long-haul binge-watch session… twice).

And then there’s the AI. LG’s new “gram AI” includes gram chat On-Device and gram chat Cloud. The first processes stuff locally (read: it doesn’t tattle to the internet), while the second is powered by GPT-4o and syncs with your calendar, email, and presumably your soul. Features like Time Travel let you replay what you were doing earlier—which is great for productivity, or for proving you were definitely not on YouTube at 2 pm.

The 16Z90TR weighs just 3 pounds and is 0.6 inches thin. The 17Z90TR is only 3.3 pounds. And yes, both are Evo-certified and ship with Windows 11 Home.

Other goodies include gram Link 2.0, which lets you answer calls and transfer files across Windows, iOS, and Android without needing a degree in networking.

If anyone’s down, the LG gram Pro 16Z90TR and the larger LG gram Pro 17Z90TR are available now with a starting price of US$2,799.99 and US$2,549.99, respectively.
