can’t decide which Android handset to get? we can’t blame you cos’ there are just way too many being announced, like every other day. one of the latest to join the unstoppable Android’s match to world domination is the LG Optimus L9. sporting a thin 9.1mm profile, the phone has a very LG squarish design that projects a sharp and serious image that has become a trademark of LG’s handsets. key features include an attention grabbing 4.7-inch IPS display, a 1GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of DDR2 RAM, 4GB e-MMC storage, a 5.0-megapixel main camera and a VGA front-facing camera, DLNA, and LG proprietary functions such as QMemo for writing input (using fingertip), QTranslator that uses Optical Character Recognition technology to recognize letters scanned using the camera and works with electronic dictionary or online translation engine to translate words, sentences or phrases from 44 foreign languages to 64 user languages, and finally, there is the M Style Keypad function that adjusts the keys as per the user’s texting style such as one hand or two hands texting. though, we are not quite sure how the latter is going to work out but we have a feeling that it could the answer to those with smaller hands and still would like to use a large handset. the LG Optimus L9 will be loaded with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich at launch. no word on the pricing and availability as of now but in the meantime, please do check out a few more images of the L9 after the break.
