Here’s a new gadget from LG Electronics for anyone who is constantly suspicious of the air quality around them. It is portable air purifier called LG PuriCare. LG PuriCare is the world’s first filter-type portable air purifier.
In case you are wondering if we have posted the wrong picture. No. That gadget is NOT a Bluetooth speaker. Although I have to admit it does look like one.
Anywho, LG PuriCare has all but one task and that is to deliver safe, clear air whenever, wherever, be it in a car, in the baby’s nursery or in the office.
It features LG’s 4-step Air Filtration System that can detect and eliminate 99 percent particulates as small as 0.3 μm. Here’s how it works:
“The first step involves the PM1.0 Sensor which quickly and accurately detects the quality of the air before the Dual Inverter Motor forcibly draws in the air at 5,000rpm in the second step. In step three, the high-efficiency Total Allergen Removal filter removes particulates in the air and in the final step, the powerful Twin Tornado Dual Fan disperses the clean air far and wide.”
LG said PuriCare Portable Air Purifier (officially, LG PuriCare Mini) is capable of cleaning 50 percent of the air inside a car in just 10 minutes.
It has a built-in battery good for up to 8 hours of operation at low speed or 2 hours a highest setting, and to top that up, it is pretty silence, operating at just 30 dB.
The filter has a lifespan of 2,000 hours or six months, if used 12 hours a day. Finally, it is, of course, Bluetooth- and app-enabled, allowing you check the filter’s condition, battery status and control the air purifier.
LG PuriCare Portable Air Purifier is expected to be available in Asia, and North America in coming weeks within this year (2019).
