LG has officially hopped onto the Disney+ streaming train. The other electronics giant from South Korea has announced that Disney+ app is now available on webOS-powered LG TV models produced in 2016 through 2019.

This means, LG users of the applicable models will be able to subscribe to Disney+ and start watching Disney+. No installation or whatsoever in their part. The Disney+ app is conveniently located on LG Home Launcher on compatible devices.

Even better is, buyers in stateside who purchase a new 2019 LG OLED TV from an LG-authorized retailer from now till February 9, 2020, are eligible for a 12-month subscription to Disney+.

Disney+ Arrives To LG Smat TVs

If you buy a new 2019 LG NanoCell TV between the same dates, you are in for the treat as well, except that you are only entitled to a 6-month sub.

So, now you know. If you are looking to get a new TV and also wanted to give this new streaming service a go, I’d say why not? However, if you aren’t impressed by yet another new streaming service, this will be just another useless piece of news.

But, but please be reminded that Disney+ is the only place you find The World According to Jeff Goldblum. Just saying…

Disney+ app is now available on compatible LG TVs in the U.S., Canada and the Netherlands. Compatible LG TVs in Australia and New Zealand should receive the service sometime next week. Thereafter other markets will follow suit.
