Every thrill ride has the same warning asking riders not to have loose stuff like eyewear, caps and cameras, smartphone included, on them. The warning exists because, things will drop as one unnamed person recently found out. But luckily for this rider, his falling phone was caught in mid-air by a fellow rider, Samuel Kempf from New Zealander. The miraculous incident happened at PortAventura theme park in Barcelona which Kempf was visiting while in Spain, representing New Zealand in the Fistballing World Championship.

Man Catches Phone Mid-air On Roller Coaster

“I was in Spain at PortAventura on Shambhala ride and saw the person a few rows ahead drop their iPhone X. long story short I caught it. this roller coaster is moving at over 130kms…was once Europe’s tallest and fastest coaster.. only recently beaten.”

I guess the speed at the ride was going kind of help the save. Anywho, the incredible and rare feat was caught on camera by the ride’s reaction video and the man who almost lost his precious Apple device bought Kempf the video as a token of his gratitude. You can see the entire act unfold in the video below.
