Man Steals From Machine With Toddler

You know BarBerCut Lite Machine operated by Bandai Namco Amusement America? If you don’t, it is basically a somewhat scam-ish machine that has attractive prizes, each hanging a string. Paying player will have control of two buttons which he/she will use to manipulate the scissors to cut a string to the prize he or she desire. As with the claw machines, it is easier said than done (read: scammy) and clearly, cutting string is not the cuppa of some folks. Like a man who deviously took advantage of a toddler’s small size to get into the machine and help himself to the prizes.

The story went that a man, presumably a father, had his toddler girl climbed inside the machine to pick the prizes. It was an obvious theft here, but not really the eyebrow raising act. What’s alarming about this blatant theft was that a grown-ass dude made use of a kid to commit it. And the entire thing was caught on camera (how? I have no idea), plus there were witnesses too because, it was the god damn operating hours of the mall. Now, that right there was a heist… for a Nintendo Switch and a “Gameboy DS.”

According to a report, a hostess over at a restaurant opposite the machine, who saw the toddler’s head popping out of the machine, alerted the mall security. The local police is now looking for the man. At the time of this writing, it is not known if there is any lead yet.
