When you own something, you have the power to do anything with it. Because, Disney Company owns Marvel Entertainment that owns Marvel Comics, we are now blessed with this: Marvel Studios’ What If…? Animated Series.
Marvel Studios’ What If…? is an upcoming animated series destined for Disney Plus, based on the said comic series which explores what would happen if major moments from the films of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) happened differently.
In other words, it is the MCU movies you have known and love with a twist. Twist like Peggy Carter becoming Captain Carter – complete with Captain America-equivalent suit with Union Jack, Killmonger saving Stark from an imminent rocket explosion, and the entire group of Marvel superheroes up against the invading aliens – for examples.
It should be an interesting watch for fans who have always wonder, well, what if…? The Marvel Studios’ What If…? Animated Series is set to start streaming on Disney+ on August 11, 2021.
The series, which has 10 episodes, is directed by Bryan Andrews and features a number of the original actors of the movies reprising their roles… with their voice. Keep going for the official trailer.
