Bull Airs by Thom Bulman is a very special clothing label. Where some brands do both officially licensed merchandise and original works, Bull Airs does officially licensed pieces and parody works. These Masters of the Universe-inspired premium leather jackets are part of the brand’s, wait for it, Masters of The Shoeniverse collection. Yup. “Shoeniverse.”
Why “Shoeniverse,” you ask? Well, it’s part of the brand’s Masters of the Universe parody lineup, launching alongside a collection of themed kicks.
The premium leather jacket collection includes two jackets: Skele-Toro • Deluxe Leather Jacket and Spik-R • Deluxe Cosplay Leather Jacket.
Leading the duo is the Skele-Toro • Deluxe Leather Jacket, which is inspired by MOTU’s resident villain, Skeletor. This jacket features a removable crossbone chest patch set against Skeletor’s signature blue and purple color scheme, with a pop of lime yellow on the inside. Only 50 pieces will be made, available in sizes S to 5XL, each priced at US$250.
The second piece, the Spik-R • Deluxe Cosplay Leather Jacket, draws inspiration from—you guessed it—Spikor. This jacket demands attention, thanks to the 100 rubber spikes covering the front and back. It’s crafted from genuine sheepskin with detailed embroidery to keep you warm and cozy during Eternia’s harsh winters—all while looking absolutely ridiculous (in the best way possible).
Though based on one of Skeletor’s less-than-brilliant henchmen, this jacket is anything but subtle. That is, if the spikes haven’t already caught your attention—or jabbed you on the convention floor.
With a super-limited run of just five pieces, the Spik-R jacket comes in at a wallet-breaking US$400. My guess? It’s already gone. Official sales for the Masters of The Shoeniverse Leather Jackets start February 28 at 12 PM EST, but VIP access opens today (Thursday, 2/27) at 12 PM EST.
