MG Cyberster Electric Roadster

This is the MG Cyberster, a decidedly exotic ride developed by MG Advanced Design Centre in London that draws on the brand’s tradition of designing roadster.

The Cyberster is a two-door, two-seater roadster with designs inspired by MGB Roadster and powered by an intelligent all-electric architecture that is said to enable an EV range of 800 kilometers (500 miles) and rockets from naught to 100 (0-62 mph) in under 3 seconds.

But clearly, the specifications ain’t going to take the spotlight from the very bold design and dare I say, ambitious design, as far as modern day MG Motor goes.

The MG Cyberster features a modern interpretation of the classic round MG headlights, a slim grilled design, “interactive ‘Magic Eye’ headlights that open when switched on,” ‘laser belt’ LED strip along the side of the car, a so-called “two-stage shoulder line,” a flattened ‘kamm tail’ rear, and flatly integrated LED taillights.

MG Motor said the MG Cyberster Electric Roadster will also feature 5G connectivity.

At this point, not a lot is known about this concept all-electric sports car from the British automaker, but more information should be available when it makes it world premiere at the Shanghai Auto Show, happening from April 21 to 28, 2021.
