Mirumi Robot

Yukai Engineering, the minds behind the headless robotic cat Qoobo and food-cooling Nékojita FuFu, also brings you Mirumi—a googly-eyed, clip-on robot designed to charm strangers by glancing their way. Like a curious baby spotting a new face, Mirumi just can’t help but turn its head, whether you’re on a crowded train, waiting in line, or simply minding your business.

Mirumi Robot

Equipped with a distance sensor and movement detection, Mirumi knows when someone’s nearby. It doesn’t just look; it reacts. Spot a curious bystander? Mirumi’s head swivels inquisitively. Too much attention? It turns shy, bashfully hiding its face. Jiggle your bag too much? Mirumi’s head-shake screams, “No thanks.” But leave it in peace, and it regains its composure, happily scanning its surroundings once again.

Born during an internal company Make-a-Thon, Mirumi isn’t just a robot—it’s a portable happiness generator inspired by the joy of babies’ innocent interactions. Long arms ensure it clings firmly to your bag, while its bashful googly eyes tug at heartstrings everywhere.

Mirumi is set to launch via crowdfunding in mid-2025. No word yet on the exact price, but whatever it is, happiness will apparently be hanging off your shoulder soon. Meanwhile, you can learn more about this creepy, I mean, cute robot HERE.
