Yukai Engineering, the quirky minds behind the headless robotic cat Qoobo and the breathing cushion Fufuly, are back with a gadget to cool your culinary crises. Introducing Nékojita FuFu, a mini robot designed to blow on your hot food or drinks—because sometimes your “cat tongue” (néko-jita) sensitivity makes even sipping coffee feel like playing with fire.

This attachable robot isn’t just a glorified fan; it’s a tech-savvy dinner companion that uses a “Fu-ing System” algorithm to randomize its blowing rhythm like a considerate dinner guest. Whether it’s channeling the gusto of “I’ve Got This!” mode or politely puffing along in “Not Gonna Spill,” FuFu cools things down faster than you can say, “Too hot!”
Capable of bringing piping hot water from 190°F (88°C) to a manageable 160°F (71°C) in three minutes, FuFu is ready to assist anyone needing a break from breathlessly cooling soups or stews. Plus, its silicone body can attach to any straight-edge dish, making it as versatile as it is charming.
The idea sprouted during a company Make-a-Thon when a weary dad wished for a robot to cool baby food instead of risking lightheadedness from all that blowing. Now, FuFu is preparing to launch in Japan with crowdfunding at 3,800 yen [JP] (around US$25). And yes, it’s ready to blow you away—literally.
