The Solander down jacket is synonymous with Moncler. Meanwhile, Batman isn’t synonymous with the Italian fashion brand. But there is a link. If you think about it, you probably have to be Bruce Wayne-rich to be rocking the Moncler Solander Batman Down Jacket. That’s right, people, the iconic puffer jacket has been given the Batman treatment.
In this variant of the designer label’s quilted coat, the black outerwear is adorned with a velvet Batman logo that was used from 1966 to 2000. But this is not just a jacket with a Batman logo slapped on it. Moncler did it in the most designer-label possible way: having the oval Batman logo across the chest and the arms of the jacket. Yep. Raise both of your arms and you’ll break the logo.
Clearly, this is not for everyone—even if you can get over the Bruce Wayne price tag of 2,990 USD. There is also a kid’s version going for 1,120 USD.
As far as the puffer goes, it is predictably made from polyester with a glossy finish and it features a detachable and adjustable hood for extra cold protection when you need it. Other details include polyester lining, down-filled (duh…), zipper closure, zipper pockets, adjustable cuffs, and hem with elastic drawstring fastening.
The Moncler Solander Batman Down Jacket is part of the Moncler Batman collection which also includes a tee shirt with 3 designs to choose from, a hoodie, and a long sleeve tee. Kids get a tee shirt with 2 designs, a hoodie, plus a pair of sweatpants. Prices for men start at US$415 and for boys, it starts at US$190.
