Perhaps Vertu kind of luxe isn’t for everyone. TBH, over 4,000 dollars for a phone is obviously not for everyone. So, if you want something shiny in the mobile space that also has your audio sorted, Motorola’s collaboration with Swarovski, called The Brilliant Collection, is here to tempt you.

Front and center is the motorola razr in PANTONE Ice Melt. It wears a 3D quilted leather-inspired finish and exactly 35 Swarovski crystals, each hand-placed like someone’s counting down to Christmas. The hinge gets a bigger 26-facet crystal, because why hell not? Even the volume keys are dressed up with crystal-inspired detailing. Motorola throws in a premium crossbody case, too, because carrying it in your pocket would be missing the point.
Then there’s the moto buds loop, now in matching Ice Melt with their own sprinkling of Swarovski. They bring Sound by Bose, which means your playlist will sound as good as your ears look. The open-ear design keeps you aware of your surroundings, perfect for hearing both your music and the guy on the train telling everyone about his crypto losses. They’re light, secure, and comfortable enough to wear all day, assuming you enjoy having strangers stare at your ears.
It’s all very coordinated, very deliberate, and just the right side of extravagant.
If anyone’s down, The Brilliant Collection is significantly more affordable than Vertu’s latest folding phone. It can be had as we speak for US$999.99. Storage for the phone comes in at 256 GB, and it is carrier unlocked.
