MSCHF 2X4 Construction Boots

The art collective, MSCHF, is at it again. It has taken a stab at another iconic product. This time, it has taken inspiration from Timberland’s “Wheat” 6-inch construction boot. While arguably less controversial visually than the Big Red Boots and the Crocs collaborative Big Yellow Boots, the MSCHF’s take on the iconic 6” construction boots, dubbed 2X4, is not any less of a head-turner. Oh, it will turn heads alright, though probably not as quick as when you are strutting around in a pair of Astro Boy kicks.

It basically takes the boot and has it turned under and up, and doing so in the most exaggerated manner possible. We are talking about taking the pattern of the boot’s outsole and extending it beyond where it normally should, to the upper, to the toe box, to the heel counter, and even to the tongue. So yeah, the MSCHF 2X4 “Suited, Booted And Extruded Boots” is all sole and it may very well be the tank in the world of footwear.

I don’t know why I say that but it just looked like a tank of shoes. And it probably is exactly that because it is built to “stomp some curbs”. It features a full, lined, gum rubber construction with leather ankle cuff and tread diamond eyelet hardware.
