MSI Quadro Workstation Laptop
how many times have you found yourself needing to complete a CAD project at home or on the road? not many we supposed, which translates to a limited market for such insanely powerful portables but that doesn’t stop MSI from turning out a true mobile powerhouse catering to the professionals (draftsmen, engineers, scientists and the likes). based on the firm’s GT60 gaming laptop, the aptly named MSI Quadro Workstation laptop packs NVIDIA Quadro K2000M graphics along with Intel Core i7 quad-core processor (up to 3.4GHz ) and 12GB of RAM to cope with the demand of today’s graphics crunching software. other features a 15.6-inch full HD non-reflective display, 750GB HDD (no SSD though), Blu-ray reader/writer, Killer-branded Gigabit Ethernet, Steel Series backlit keyboard, Dynaudio speakers, Cooler Boost for instant system temperature optimization, multi-display support (up to four independent displays), sRGB standard for consistent, stable and vibrant colors across all ranges, built-in WiFi, multi-card reader, a HD webcam, three USB 3.0 ports and a USB 2.0 port, HDMI out and of course, a multi-touch touchpad. all in, the MSI Quadro Workstation Laptop racks up a hefty 7.7 lbs (3.5 kg) of mass which may suggest it to be more of a desktop replacement than a true mobile machine. heft aside, expect to shell out a good $2,099 for this baby if you want one.
