Computer graphics (CG) animation bolsters the realism and looks pretty dang cool. But somehow, just somehow, I find the CG Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness look awfully like a cutscene from a Resident Evil video game.

Late last month, Netflix shared a teaser trailer of the Netflix exclusive Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness and as the name suggests, it is based on Capcom’s video game franchise, Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness.

Also, as the show title suggests, it is dark. Like, you know, literally. By the way, the video game cutscene vibe also existed with the previous animated movies. Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that it is a video game franchise? I don’t know.

Netflix’s Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness is the first CG Resident Evil animated series and it will start streaming on Netflix in 2021.

Here, have a look at the aforementioned teaser trailer. You may have crank up your computer’s or mobile device’s brightness.
