You heard it’s coming. You saw the teaser, and now here’s the official trailer and poster. We are, of course, talking about Netflix’s Stranger Things. The good news for original fans who thought it should’ve ended at 2—it’s finally ending.
And if I can be honest about the trailer… it’s dark. Very dark. Both literally and figuratively. That’s not the Stranger Things I’ve known and loved. When it began, it was kind of dark, but it was softened by the kids’ energy and, of course, constant screaming. It wasn’t all that gloomy. But as the seasons went by, it became full-on The Ring-kind-of evil dark.
Anyhoo, you probably already have some ideas of what’s going to happen, and if you’re NOT turned off by spoilers, keep going for the poster and the official trailer.

The final season of Stranger Things is set to drop in multiple parts, like 4, which was how I was convinced 4 was the be-all and end-all. But 5 is going to be bigger: it has three parts. Yes, THREE! VOL. 1 and VOL. 2 will drop on November 26, 5 PM PT, and on Christmas at 5 PM PT, respectively, while THE FINALE will start streaming on New Year’s Eve at 5 PM PT.
